Tiny Knit Panda: Sir Fancy Panda

The super-awesome Kylie from the super-awesome website Daily of the Day had a request: a knit panda.  And not just any panda - a fancy panda.  Well, little did she know that not only do I specialize in pandas, but I specialize in fancy pandas.

The result:  Sir Fancy Panda (Esq.).  Not only is this panda just plain adorable, he's also got a fancy panda bow tie.  Yeah, he knows he looks pretty fly.

The pattern comes from Mochimochi Land and was modified to include the fancy bow tie.

Tiny Bee

Just a quick update to show one of my newest creations - a tiny bee mochimochi.  This pattern comes directly from the Mochimochi Land website (not available in the book, if you're wondering).  I was surprised at how easy this was to make, but I'm pretty happy with the results!

And another note:  I'll be upgrading the camera I use to take these photos soon.  I hope that less Photoshop will be required to brighten them up with this change... :)

Tiny Computer

I spend way too much time on the computer, but don't blame me - I have to write and analyze data!  That's beside the time I spend on Facebook, Twitter, Daily of the Day, and various blogs...

A few months ago, I had knit this tiny computer from a pattern in Teeny Tiny Mochimochi and it has remained one of my favorites because it's both adorable and strange.  The computer is a little dated - there's no flat screen on this guy and it's not a laser mouse - but it's still functional.  Even the tiny knit gnome gets in some time checking his emails since he just tried 40 free hours from AOL with a CD-ROM he received in the mail.  Good deal.

Below are a few more pictures of the computer...

Happy Fourth of July!

In celebration of America's Independence Day, here are a few pictures of a knit firecracker, made from a pattern in Teeny Tiny Mochimochi.  Even knit adorable things can be patriotic!

This week is quite the busy week (aside from all the knitting because, you know, I do have a job that pays the bills), but I'll be updating with a few different projects, including a knit R2D2 made for a friend and a bunch of new teeny tiny Mochimochi.

More pictures of the firecracker below!
