Tiny Sweet Pea

I haven't updated in a while, mainly because of a demanding work schedule, but I have continued to knit the Teeny Tiny Mochimochi when I have time.  They're so addicting because they're so quick and easy to make.  It doesn't hurt that they're also adorable.

The pea pod creature was made a few months ago.  The pattern is a slightly modified version of a Mochimochi Land pattern.  I have yet to finish the sushi set, but I definitely will be in the coming months.

I'll be sure to update the blog more often, as time permits.  It's been a busy month, but I look forward to spring and more knitting.

Itty Bitty Project 4: Dinosaur

I've been working through the Teeny Tiny Mochimochi book voraciously the last few weeks and have been pretty happy with the results.  I bring my final results to work and have my coworkers critique them, which usually involves at least one squealing with delight - "It's a tiny dinosaur!"

This is my little dinosaur, which I think turned out quite well, regardless of my photography skills.

With all these small knitted toys, I was told that I should make more stop motion animations with them.  Soon to come...

Itty Bitty Project 3: Tiny Lion

Continuing on with the super cute and super tiny projects I've been working on lately, here is my lion, again from the Teeny Tiny Mochimochi book.

I have to admit that making these creatures is a little addictive because they take so little time to make and they're adorable.  I'm betting that I'll make it through this entire book by the end of next week...  not even exaggerating.

Below are a few more pictures of the lion.

Itty Bitty Project 2: Monkey

Continuing from the post of my itty bitty chicken, I've also made a little monkey using a pattern from the same book, "Teeny Tiny Mochimochi" by Anna Hrachovec from Mochimochi Land.  This pattern isn't free like the teeny tiny chicken, but I would highly recommend purchasing the book with the pattern.

Here are a few pictures!

Itty Bitty Chicken Mochimochi

I haven't had much time to update because, first, I've been busy with work and non-knitting things and, second, I've been working for what seems an eternity (really just a month) on a knitting project as a gift for my mom for Valentine's Day.  Well, St. Patrick's Day at this point.  While I did finish that project, I haven't finished the detailing and didn't take any pictures.  Thus, I'm posting up these pictures of a small project, literally.  This is the tiny chicken mochimochi from the book "Teeny Tiny Mochimochi" by Anna Hrachovec from Mochimochi Land.

I'm not a very fast knitter, and this little chicken only took me about an hour.  The free pattern can be had here.
